Prairie Tide Chemicals Inc. (PTC) is a federally incorporated start-up company commercializing a platform of high-value cyclic peptides, present at high concentrations (0.5%) in the flax plant (Linum usitatissimum L., Linaceae). Using patented technology, PTC has the capability to recover up to 5 kg of peptide per ton of flaxseed oil. In recent studies, these peptides have shown exceptional promise as scaffolds for the synthesis of medically important drugs.
